Afrijet Business Service S.A., operating as FLYGABON, has seen the acquisition of a factory-new ATR42-600 through a long-term operating lease from TrueNoord, a specialist in regional aircraft leasing.
In parallel, the airline has also confirmed its purchase of a second ATR 42-600, scheduled for delivery in 2026. Both aircraft will join FLYGABON’s fleet, which includes five ATR 72-600s.
The regional aircraft acquisition marks a further step in transforming African regional aviation.
This delivery completes FLYGABON’s fleet transition from older ATR-500 series aircraft to the cutting-edge ATR-600 series, establishing it as the operator of Africa’s youngest and most fuel-efficient turboprop fleet.

The new ATR 42-600, equipped with advanced Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127XT engines, sets a new standard for efficiency and sustainability.
