At least 8 in 10 students (about 86%) of the Class of 2024 at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) have bagged job offers with the highest domestic offer at Rs 49 lakh per annum. The highest international offer at the institute is at $114,000 (about Rs 95.15 lpa), according to a statement issued by the institute.This year, 113 companies, including regular top-tier recruiters, mid-segment firms, and startups participated in the placement drive, stated the release. These companies collectively made a total of 677 offers, comprising 548 full-time positions and 129 internship opportunities.

The average salary for 2024 class is Rs 20.46 lpa while the median salary is Rs 18 lpa (including all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes). Overall, the placement percentage is 85.98% with placements for Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) at 84% and 89% for Master of Technology (M Tech). Of the total offers, 78 were above Rs 30 lpa. In total, the students received 9 international offers.

“The outstanding placement results this year are a testament to the quality of education and holistic development our students receive. Despite the challenging economic climate, our graduates have secured top-tier positions, which speaks volumes about their competence and the industry’s trust in our institution,” Dr Ranjan Bose, director of IIIT-Delhi, said in the release.
